Rabid arm-waving philosophers may shout even the most dire extinction risk scenarios at the tops of their lungs. Still this has been insufficient to steer the juggernaut of humanity toward more likely future survival. No one who matters is listening or acting.

Therefore, the commendable first steps of purely academic exercises so far, have been of mostly limited use. As of today, these scholarly efforts have been of little ultimate tangible benefit to humanity, while they remain mostly ignored except as thrilling death-defying horror-story entertainment. By merely writing and speaking about extinction, our philosophers give the false impression that something is being done, when in fact the opposite is true: zilch is happening.
